SMA Healthcare Foundation Celebrating a Decade of Impact with its 10th Annual “Who is Jay?” Mental Health Symposium

April 29th

The SMA Healthcare Foundation is proud to announce the 10th Annual Who is Jay? Mental Health Symposium, scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.

This milestone year, themed “Greatest Hits,” celebrates a decade of commitment to mental health awareness and education. The symposium will spotlight an all-star lineup of keynote and featured presenters, bringing back some of the most popular speakers from the past nine years.

Among the honored keynote speakers are Johnny Crowder, mental health advocate, musician, and founder of Cope Notes, and Kevin Briggs, famously known as the “Guardian of the Golden Gate” for his life-saving interventions with individuals in crisis. Attendees will also hear from fan-favorite presenters such as Dr. Kevin Hill, expert in addiction psychiatry; Dr. Nekeshia Hammond, distinguished psychologist and author; and Tina Miller, inspiring mental health champion.  New voices include Sam Eaton, a passionate mental health advocate, speaker, and founder of Recklessly Alive and Dr. James Munro, Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and experienced presenter on integrative medicine.

The Who is Jay? Mental Health Symposium is hosted by the SMA Healthcare Foundation and funded through the Jay’s Hope Fund alongside generous event sponsors such as AdventHealth, the C. James Montgomery Trust, Brown & Brown, and the Simpkins Family Foundation. The event promises a powerful day filled with education, inspiration, and hope — reinforcing the Foundation’s enduring mission to build stronger, healthier communities.
