WARM (Women Assisting Recovering Mothers) at the Vince Carter Sanctuary is the largest of SMA’s residential programs serving approximately 54 women at a time. The program specializes in substance abuse services for pregnant and post-partum women and has a specialty component allowing their children under age 5 to live on site. Donations to this fund are specifically earmarked for the needs of this program as identified by management or may be specifically earmarked according to the wishes of the donor.
SMA Healthcare operates outpatient substance abuse services throughout its four-county service area (Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia). There are also specialty programs such as Drug Court and ADI (Anti-Drug Initiative, an online program). Donations to this fund are used for needs identified within these programs and can be designated by county/location according to the wishes of the donor.
SMA Healthcare operates residential units for addiction/substance abuse services for both adults and adolescents. Male adults are served in Putnam County. Female adults are served in Flagler at W.A.R.M. at Vince Carter Sanctuary (separate fund designation). Adolescents are served through the RAP (Residential Adolescent Program) in Volusia County. Funds are earmarked for needed projects identified by management within those programs. Funds may also be earmarked to meet the specific wishes of the donor.
SMA Healthcare operates outpatient mental health services, including case management, throughout its four-county service area (Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia). Child Psychiatric Services are also available in Putnam and St. Johns. There is also the FACT team, which serves the most persistent and severely mentally ill population with intensive case management to keep those individuals out of state hospitals and other crisis services. Donations to this fund are used for needs identified within these programs and can be designated by county/location according to the wishes of the donor.
Jay’s Hope Fund is an initiative for mental health advocacy, awareness and education within our communities. Funds raised are used for this purpose but can also be earmarked to fund small projects within the mental health programs of SMA Healthcare.
The Enrichment Program/Enrichment Industries is a specialty service under SMA Healthcare. The program focuses on psychosocial rehabilitation and adult day training activities for adults with disabilities. Services include Supported Employment assisting clients with job placement and job coaching in the community; Service Contracts where clients with disabling conditions can be employed at janitorial and lawn care sites where SMA/EI holds the contracts for those services; and the sheltered workshop in Volusia where clients are able to earn compensation for manufacturing and other assembly packaging-type projects. Donations to this fund will be used to assist with equipment and/or supply needs of the program.
SMA Healthcare operates the Chet Bell Crisis Center in Volusia County as well as the detox unit in Putnam County and a crisis triage and treatment unit (CTTU) in Flagler. Monies designated to this fund would be earmarked to the needs of those services/facilities. Donors can further allocate a location if that is their wish.
Donations to this fund will be used by SMA Healthcare for an area of greatest need.
