The program is hiring for ten PGY-1 psychiatry resident positions.
Application
Applications for a residency position can be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The program is enrolled in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Questions on the application process can be submitted to brerko@smahealthcare.org.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a position, the applicant must:
- Meet all ACGME eligibility requirements.
- Not require visa sponsorship from the program.
- Have passed STEP 1 and 2 CK or COMLEX 1 and 2 CE. (Step 3 or COMLEX 3 preferred if applicant has been out of medical school for 3+ years).
- Provide a complete application through ERAS, which includes:
- 3-4 Letters of Recommendation, with at least two from individuals in the field of psychiatry.
- Personal Statement.
- Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE).
- Resume or CV.
- Medical Licensing Examination Scores.
- Be registered through the NRMP and be able to attend in-person interviews.
- Meet all institutional employment requirements, such as passing a background check, passing a drug test, access to reliable transportation, and holding a valid driver’s license prior to the start of employment.
