DAYTONA BEACH – SMA Healthcare is pleased to announce the promotions of Nicole Sharbono to Senior Vice President and Dr. Daniel Weinberg to Chief Medical Officer, effective July 1.
“Both of these individuals bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and motivation to our agency, and these promotions are well-deserved,” said Rhonda Harvey, chief operating officer. “We are excited to watch as these two individuals continue our efforts to grow our service platform and advocate for the healthcare needs of our community.”
Sharbono has been with SMA Healthcare since September 2012. She is being promoted from Vice President of Volusia County Services, a role she has held since December 2016. Prior to that, she served as the agency’s Senior Mental Health Director.
Dr. Weinberg has been with SMA Healthcare for a year, as he joined the team in June 2019. His promotion to Chief Medical Officer comes on the heels of Dr. Antonio Canaan’s retirement earlier this year. Weinberg recently served as the Medical Director for Psychiatric Services.
