The SMA Healthcare Foundation is pleased to announce that Rick Allen, Lead Race Announcer for NASCAR on NBC, will be the honoree at the 2024 Annual Dinner Celebration & Auction. This event will take place on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the DAYTONA 500 Club at Daytona International Speedway.
Rick Allen is being recognized for his notable contributions to NASCAR broadcasting and his commitment to community engagement. As the voice of NASCAR on NBC, Allen has provided insightful commentary to millions of racing fans. With over two decades of experience in the sport, Allen has become a respected figure in motorsports, known for his professionalism and dedication to enhancing the viewing experience for fans. His work extends beyond the booth, as he actively participates in various community outreach programs and charitable initiatives.
The event will also feature Michael Waltrip as the emcee. Waltrip, a two-time Daytona 500 winner and television personality, will host the evening. Currently, Waltrip serves as an analyst for FOX Sports’ NASCAR coverage and is a co-host of the popular show “NASCAR Race Hub.” Attendees will enjoy live music from Jackson Snelling, an emerging country music artist known for his heartfelt lyrics and engaging performances. Snelling has appeared on popular TV shows such as “American Idol” and “The Voice,” showcasing his musical talent to a broad audience.
The event theme is “Wild Wild West,” and attendees are encouraged to dress in casual western attire. Proceeds will benefit SMA Healthcare’s new state-of-the-art West Volusia Outpatient Center, supporting the organization’s mission to provide essential healthcare services to the community.
