Kelly Jenkins-Gregory Named 2021 Medical Professional of the Year

08/18/21

DAYTONA BEACH – SMA Healthcare’s (SMA) Kelly Jenkins-Gregory, RN, BSN, has been named the 2021 Medical Professional of the Year by the Florida Behavioral Health Association. The award was presented to Jenkins-Gregory Wednesday morning at the Florida Behavioral Health Conference in Orlando.

Jenkins-Gregory has been with SMA Healthcare for eight years, and currently serves as the Director of Nursing for the Chet Bell Crisis Center, SMA’s flagship program in Volusia County. Her leadership and dedication to the people SMA serves has been second-to-none throughout the pandemic, and every person who passes through doors of the CBCC benefits not only from her medical knowledge and acumen, but also her kindness and compassion.

“Kelly is deeply dedicated to the health and wellbeing of our clients and she ensures our provision of exceptional healthcare services,” said CEO Ivan Cosimi. “She is a selfless leader who always puts her clients and her team before herself. She is a true asset to our community and role model for our entire SMA Healthcare team.”

This is the third consecutive year a staff member from SMA has been presented an Award of Excellence from the Florida Behavioral Health Association: Colleen Colandrea was named a Pandemic Hero in 2020, and Dr. Guy Czaykowsky was named a Behavioral Health Professional of the Year, in the Adult Practitioner category, in 2019.
