In 2022 alone, opioid overdoses claimed lives of 40 people in St. Johns County. Emergency responders were called to 256 opioid-related overdoses, administering Naloxone 514 times to save lives. Shockingly, there were 142,382 opioid prescriptions dispensed to 43,687 unique patients in the county. These statistics underscore the breadth of the crisis.
